This document discusses the US strategy for responding to a conflict between India and Pakistan in 1971. This includes strategising how to engage Russia and China in ensuring the conflict does not broaden to involve additional countries (China) and in pursuit of ending the conflict. A justification of why Russia and China in such a way that does not undermine US relations in the region is also discussed.
